Kid’s Yoga at our Helsinki studio
Childhood is a vulnerable time, when you learn and absorb things very easily. Both children and adults benefit from getting to know their body and enjoy it. Through yoga the child learns to know their body and to express itself. In kid’s yoga asanaspractice is done on the children’s conditions. Familiar asanas take the form of a animal and the lesson follows a happy story. Every lesson ends with a relaxation exercise. The practise lasts about 60 min, after that we have reserved 30 min for creative activities like drawing or crafts.
Kid’s yoga is a perfect hobby without competition or performance. We learn to focus on ourselves, instead of what happens around us, and we also learn not to compare ourselves to others. Everybody is a individual. We strive to find joy in the moment.
Yoga helps preserve the child’s natural mobility, and helps sustain a healthy body and a calm mind. Yoga is a good counter balance for any hobby.
We offer kid’s yoga at our Helsinki studio every second Saturday from 11.00-12.30. At the same time there is a adults class in the other room.
